XEOMIN®

State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Process

Starting at $12/Unit

Xeomin® is made through a unique precision manufacturing process that isolates the therapeutic component of the molecule and removes the “accessory proteins” that don't play an active role in treatment or trigger your body’s immune system. Xeomin® is a highly purified neurotoxin.

How Does XEOMIN® Work?

Frown lines form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines. Neurotoxins, such as XEOMIN®, are prescription medications that block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions. So frown lines are softened

BENEFITS

Both products can safely be used to create a smooth; more relaxed and refreshed appearance with results that are typically visible within 7-10 days.

Injection of neuromodulators is one of the most requested treatments for smoothing the forehead and softening wrinkles around the eyes but is also great for mimicking the effects of a brow lift.

For those of you who want the appearance of fuller lips but are not ready to change the shape and volume of them, neuromodulators can also be used to relax the muscles around your upper lip so it turns upward which gives your top lip a fuller look.

FAQs About Neuromodulators

Q:  How long will it take to see results?

You will start to notice improvement in 3-5 days, but the maximum benefit is seen 2 weeks from injection.

Q:  Will I still be able to make facial expressions?

Yes.  Although results are visible, a treatment will not radically change your appearance. The muscles that are not treated are not affected, allowing normal facial expression.

Q:  Are there any side effects?

There can be side effects with any treatment done. Side effects from neuromodulators are usually minimal and temporary. They may include localized pain, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, bleeding and/or bruising, or infection. The Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner will review all side effects and risks with you at your consultation and answer any questions you may have before the treatment is started.

Q:  How much will the total cost be?

The cost will depend on the total amount of units used. The number of units depends on the area(s) to be treated. We offer complementary consultation with our clients prior to the injection and will discuss the best treatment plan for you taking your budget into consideration. Typically people need anywhere from 20 - 60 units, depending on the area they want to treat. Pricing is done per unit and will always be discussed before treatment begins.

Q:  How long is the visit?

Please allow 30 - 45 minutes for your initial visit. This includes the consultation, paperwork, consent forms, post – treatment instructions, time for any questions you may have, as well as the injection(s) itself.

Follow-up appointments take approximately 10 - 15 minutes. Most patients are in and out of the office with no downtime following the injections.

Recovery Time

Another great benefit to neuromodulator injections is the no downtime is needed for recovery needed; you will be able to leave the office and return to your daily routine. In order to achieve optimal results, we ask that you remain upright 4 hours and no strenuous exercise for 12 hours after your treatment.

Maintenance

In order to maintain that refreshed look and prevent future wrinkles, it is necessary to repeat treatment every 3-4 months, on average.
